About Me – Jo Gomez

I am a qualified art psychotherapist (MA) from Wirral, Merseyside. I work with young children and adults and have a special interest in childhood trauma, attachment and somatic art therapy. My practice is rooted in compassion, creativity and the belief that art therapy can unlock inner thoughts and feelings when words cannot.

Passionate, creative, and deeply committed to inclusive practice. With over thirty years experience engaging children and adults in community arts, I bring warmth, empathy, and a trauma-informed approach to every interaction. As a qualified Art Therapist, I specialise in working with neurodiverse individuals and those with intellectual disabilities, delivering sensory and somatic sessions that foster emotional expression and healing. I thrive in collaborate and I am motivated to create safe spaces where creativity and wellbeing flourish. I am now seeking opportunities to advocate for accessible art therapy and emotionally safe, inclusive practice across schools and communities. teams and connect meaningfully with people of all ages and backgrounds, creating safe spaces where creativity and wellbeing thrive.
